What we do

Color, Cuts & Everything Before the Big Day

From a quick trim to a full head of balayage, here's what our chairs handle most.

Cuts & Styling

Precision cuts and finished styling for every hair type, shaped around how you actually wear it day to day. We talk cowlicks, growth patterns, and your ten-minute morning before a single snip. Book this when your last cut has grown out or you're ready to try something new.

Balayage & Color

Hand-painted balayage, all-over color, gloss refreshes, and lived-in dimension from our dedicated color specialists. Every color starts with a strand and skin-tone read so the result grows out soft instead of harsh. Ideal when you want low-maintenance brightness that doesn't demand a touch-up every three weeks.

Bridal & Event Updos

Updos, half-ups, and soft waves built to survive a Texas afternoon and a full night of dancing. We offer trial runs so nothing about your look is a surprise on the morning of, and we can travel or host the whole party in-salon. For brides, quinceañeras, prom, and every photo that has to last.

Keratin Treatments

Smoothing keratin treatments that cut blow-dry time and calm frizz through humid Ellis County summers. Results typically last three to five months depending on your hair and washing routine, and we'll tell you honestly if your hair is a good candidate first. Best for anyone tired of fighting the flat iron every morning.

Kids Cuts

Patient, no-fuss cuts for kids who'd rather be anywhere else, done at a pace that keeps everyone calm. We keep first-haircut keepsakes on hand and never rush a nervous little one. Great for back-to-school trims and squirmy toddlers alike.

Our story

Built on Honest Advice and a Good Chair

Magnolia & Main started with a simple frustration: too many people were leaving the chair with a color they didn't ask for and no idea how to keep it up. We opened on Main Street in 2018 to do it differently — read your hair before we touch it, tell you the truth about maintenance, and send you home able to recreate the look yourself. Six years later, our chairs are full of regulars who've followed their stylist through every season.

Style you can repeat

We finish by showing you how to recreate the look at home and mapping out when to come back so it never grows out awkward.

What Ellis County Says

I'd been scared of balayage after a bad experience, but they walked me through exactly how it would grow out and it's still gorgeous four months later. Best color I've had on the square.
Danielle R., Waxahachie
Took my six-year-old for his first real cut and they were so patient with him wiggling the whole time. He left with a lollipop and a little keepsake curl — we're customers for life.
Marcus T., Midlothian
My wedding updo held through an outdoor June ceremony and a four-hour reception without a single pin slipping. The trial run beforehand made the morning completely stress-free.
Priya N., Red Oak
Got a keratin treatment before summer and it cut my morning routine in half. They were honest that my fine hair would only hold it a few months, which I appreciated more than a hard sell.
Hannah B., Ennis
